Carpentry and Joinery

The Carpentry and Joinery Level 1 Diploma is a varied and exciting introduction into carpentry and the construction environment.

You will hit the ground running with various practical tasks that will improve your basic hand skills. As part of the Carpentry and Joinery course, you will participate and run your own building project during off-site community work that develops teamwork and employability skills.

These enrichment programmes are highly rewarding, and numerous site visits give you an insight into the wider construction trade. Upon completion, you will be well placed to progress to the Site Carpentry Level 2 Diploma.

What will I learn?

“I’ve developed key skills for employment and I’ve also improved my self-confidence. I benefitted from guest speakers, who provided a real understanding of working in the industry. I plan on becoming a fully qualified carpenter, and I am now well on my way to achieving that thanks to my studies.”Matt Oakely
