This engaging qualification will provide you with strong knowledge of the varied components that make up the structure of boats, developing the skills necessary for their successful production.
You will focus on a variety of techniques to ensure you become a skilled professional, including interpretation of lofted lines, drawings and specifications, the knowledge needed to obtain the shape of moulds and templates and the skills required to mark, cut out, assemble and finish the elements that make up a boat.
Upon completion you could progress to an apprenticeship with a suitable employer or the BTEC Level 3 in Marine Technologies.
