Barbering and Hairdressing Diploma Level 2
This Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing and Barbering is designed for those who currently work or wish to pursue a career within the industry.
This qualification provides the necessary skills and knowledge that prove occupational competence as a junior stylist or barber.
Course Details
- You must have a GCSE Grade 3(D) in English
- You must have a GCSE Grade 3(D) in Maths
- Or, you must have completed an appropriate vocational qualification at Level 1

Styling and dressing women’s and men’s hair
Colouring and lightening hair
Shampooing and conditioning

Katy has worked in secondary schools (private and public), further education (FE) and higher education (HE) environments and is qualified with a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education, QTS and QTLS. She holds a Master’s in Education and is studying for her Professional Doctorate in Education with a specialism in outdoor education. She has taught for over 10 years and developed and managed FE and HE programmes with a wide range of experience teaching across a large range of levels.
