The Ascentis Introduction to Criminology and Psychology Certificate Level 2 will provide you with an effective experience in developing study skills about the concepts, theories and perspectives that characterise Criminology and Psychology. This course is designed to draw together methods and perspectives from a range of social sciences, including Sociology and Psychology.

Definitions and types of crime
Biological, psychological and sociological explanations of crime
Evaluation of crime data
Features of the criminal justice system including; policing, courts, prison and community sentencing
Criminality, gender, ethnicity, social class and age
The relationship between crime, criminal justice and the media
Definitions for a range of psychological concepts
The relationship between theory, research and practice
Application of psychological concepts
Three of the following four topics will be selected by the tutor: Developmental Psychology, Adult Cognitive Processes, Social Psychology and Individual Differences

This course costs: £120.00
