Access to Higher Education Diploma: Teaching (Distance Learning)

Are you looking to do a degree in teaching? This is a distance learning opportunity to gain qualifications you need to progress on to University in the convenience of your own home.

This course is well suited to those who work full time or have young children but still aspire to achieve their best. This is an online learning platform that includes innovative, interesting lessons and full support from a personal tutor.
Although proposed as a two year course, it can be completed within one year. Funding is available for this course via an Advanced Learner Loan. Progression and completion of a subsequent foundation degree, will mean loan does not need to be repaid.

This pathway consists of four core subjects in Educational Theory, Childhood Studies, Education Practice and Education Studies. This pathway would suit you if you are looking to progress onto a Childhood studies or Teaching degree. Alongside four core academic subjects, you will also receive training in study skills; support in academic writing, as well as walking you through the UCAS application process. Check the website of your chosen university for their entry requirements.

• It is desirable if you have a clear idea of the university course that you would like to apply for.
• Please check your HE institute choice/s for their entry requirements.
• Both maths and English GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) are required for all Access Diplomas (exceptions will be considered if you do not need this criteria in order to progress to your selected Higher Education Institute).

19+ Courses marked may entitle you to an Advanced Learning Loan to help fund your studies, available for learners aged 19 or over.
