The Criminal Justice, Law, Public Sector and Policing Access to Higher Education Diploma is designed to support and prepare you for entry to University degrees in the following areas; policing, criminology, law, (uniformed) public services, and social sciences.
If you have an interest in a policing-related career and the academic study of policing, or an interest in becoming a criminologist, civil servant (i.e. MOD, MI5, Home Office, local authority), member of the armed forces, prison/probation officer or work in the criminal justice system or the growing security and charitybased sectors, then this is the course for you.
There is flexible delivery options for this course including; full-time (one year intensive; three days a week) and part-time (two year; one and half days a week) courses available, as well as a distance learning option over one or two years (two start dates September and February).

• Please check your HE institute choice/s for their entry requirements
• Both maths and English GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) are required for all Access Diplomas (exceptions will be considered if you do not need this criteria in order to progress to your selected Higher Education Institute)
You may be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to pay for your course fees, which you will not have to repay if you progress to University and complete your degree.

If you are aged 19 and over at the start of the course, you may have options to help fund your studies with us. The funding you can receive depends on your personal circumstances, and could mean you are entitled to fully subsidised or reduced tuition fees.
This course is fully funded for 16-18 year olds (if applicable to the course).
You may also be entitled to support with travel, childcare and equipment.
