1st4Sport Multi Sports

The 1st4Sport Level 2 Multi Skills Award is a vocational qualification that provides learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to be able to successfully plan, deliver and review multi-skills sessions that support child development. The aim of the qualification is to provide learners with an introduction to the process and principles of supporting child development through multi-skills. This will include understanding how to support child development through multi-skills via the practical coaching of linked and progressive multi-skills sessions.

The qualification will also provide the opportunity for experienced deliverers to share and develop their own practice, in a supportive and positive environment. The week long course will consist of a mixture of practical and theoretical delivery, completing a portfolio of evidence and culminating in an individual practical assessment.

To access the course, learners must have a level 2 NGB coaching award.

What will I learn?

"There were many memorable moments on the course, my favourite being when a course mate and I organised a trip to the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) Sports Science Conference at Portsmouth University, which was really valuable.  The course provides both theoretical and practical knowledge, making it excellent preparation for a career, whether that's in sports or in any other field."Alec Phillips
