This exciting new programme is part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and developed by Devon County Council, in partnership with all the Devon NHS Trusts, three local authorities and further education providers, with representatives from adult social care providers, primary care and Proud to Care.

We can get you there. What’s better is that you can get there with funded qualifications through the Health and Social Care Skills Accelerator Programme (HSSAP). It aims to help those that are looking at entering the health and social care sector or those employed within health and social care, by providing a suite of specialised, accredited, funded qualifications.
A dedicated career coach will be able to provide 1 to 1 coaching and support throughout the programme in which progression can be explored into and within the sector including progression onto further or higher learning including apprenticeship pathways.

Virtual Dementia Tour
Have you ever wondered what people with dementia experience every day?
The Virtual Dementia Tour is the only scientifically and medically proven method of giving a person the experience of what having dementia is like. By the end of this training, you will be able to recognise the issues faced by people with dementia and start to think about the provision of services to meet their needs.

Great opportunities for those who are hoping to work in health or care to participate in a range of adult training programmes designed to give you an insight into working in the sector. Courses include industry specific qualifications, functional skills (maths and English) and employability skills.
CARE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
A bespoke offer for those within care-based employment looking to develop your knowledge and skills to provide enhanced care for your service users and clients.
SUSTAINABLE WORKFORCE
We are looking for care organisations to get in touch with our Employer Engagement Team to assist us in identifying the additional training wanted to provide a forward-thinking service meeting best outcomes for your service users

To access this programme, you need to:
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
- Be over 18 years old or if under 18 NEET or at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education , Employment or Training)
- Currently working or interested in pursuing a career in health and social care
- Live in a Devon post code area (Devon, Torbay and Plymouth)
