Amy Stanford
Amy studied the National Diploma in Photography alongside A Level Media Studies as a way to take forward her interest in taking pictures with a view to working in the industry. After successfully achieving her qualifications with a work experience stint at the Herald Express she was offered the chance to become an Assistant Picture Scanner.
Making use of the both the photography and media skills Amy now works as an Assistant Picture Editor and Photographer for the Western Morning News and Plymouth Herald covering a wide variety of stories and news whilst working closely with the newspaper editor and picture editor on new content each day.
Hard work, dedication and taking the most from every opportunity have helped Amy progress into a professional photographer working in the fast paced world of journalism.

Scott Winter
Scott is a self-employed electrician working in the South Devon area looking to move into marine electrics in the near future. Scott began with South Devon College on the full-time intermediate Electrical Installation course before beginning an apprenticeship and completing the advanced certificate and NVQ.

Lauren Cooper
Whilst studying for her intermediate Childcare Diploma here at South Devon College Lauren was informed by the teaching team that several apprenticeships in local nurseries had opened up. Wasting no time she applied and the rest is history.

Jon Palfrey
Formed by three ambitious South Devon College students, MGV Productions has been creating corporate videos for both local and national companies for two years.
Recent work has included the Hilton Hotel Group and the team are looking to open a second London based office.

Elodie Forbes
Elodie is now working at South Devon College as an intern with the HR department after completing the National Diploma in Travel and Tourism and the Foundation Degree in Travel and Hospitality Management.
Important cross over skills learnt whilst studying and during a 10 week work experience stint with the Flybe training academy have helped Elodie secure employment in a sector that differs from her course of study.
