Thirteen South Devon College Foundation Degree students studying creative digital media are filling Torre Abbey with sights and sounds of the future on July 2.
As one of the most exciting groups of students to embark on this creative media course they will be throwing open the doors from 8p to 11pm to the public for an exhibition of their talents entitled “Visuality – Media Through the Eyes of the Future”.
The work will include interactive design, original drama and promotional videos made for Torbay Council to support the bid for a Geopark for the area, work with Paignton Zoo, Torquay United, Plymouth Argyle, University of Plymouth Robotics and the famous Attik Dance company plus many more projects with local firms.
Most of the students will be going on to complete their final degree year at the University of Plymouth. Student Jonathan Palfrey, currently filming at Glastonbury Music Festival, has been selected for BBC Blast and has created work for Torbay Council and lots of other local businesses in the area as part of his course work. His work will be on display.
