South Devon College Ranks Third Best Nationally
SOUTH DEVON COLLEGE have been named the best general further education (FE) college in the South West and in the top three nationally for success rates, following the release of the National Success Rates Tables (NSRT).
An impressive 91.7% student success rate for all ages and levels for 2010/11 has led to the excellent position in the tables. It comes just a week after a 94.7% student satisfaction rate in the Students’ Perceptions Questionnaire (SPQ) results placed South Devon as clear first amongst all of Plymouth University’s South West Partner Colleges (UPC) and a year after a National Student Survey conducted by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) placed South Devon College in the top 5% of FE Colleges in the country and the highest ranked FE College in the South West for learner satisfaction.
Principal Stephen Criddle said
‘I am really delighted by this news which confirms the College’s national standing and how well dedicated staff across the College support students to succeed on their chosen qualifications’. The College is proud to be maintaining the highest levels of student satisfaction and achievement to help the ambitions of local learners’.
