Many of last year’s A Level students at the Beacon College, rated as “OUTSTANDING” by Ofsted, have completed a full year studying a Foundation Degree course at their £8million University Centre. The University Centre, at the College’s Vantage Point campus in Paignton, is holding a University Level Open Day on Monday 20th August from 10am – 4pm to help anyone wishing to discuss their options at Degree level.
Results’ days are obviously a nervous time for all learners and the College is hoping to alleviate some of this stress by offering free, impartial careers advice to all, whether they need advice about their next step, or have achieved better results than expected and now want to progress to Higher Education. The College has found that its degree level courses are extremely popular, with an increased range on offer this year, particularly in sustainable construction and engineering technologies. There are spaces available on a number of higher education programmes at South Devon College, who have a free clearing hotline number of 08000 21 31 81 in operation on Thursday, Friday and Saturday - for any students wishing to apply for University Level courses. College higher education staff are also visiting sixth forms across South Devon this week to offer clearing advice to students and discuss their higher education opportunities at South Devon College.
