South Devon College achieves ‘Preferred Supplier Status’ from the MoD
Service leavers of all ranks, from the Royal Navy, Armed Forces, Royal Air Force and Royal Marines, can now all benefit from South Devon College’s support, career transition advice and training opportunities. Preferred Supplier Status is recognition that, as an effective provider of ‘consistently high quality training’, the College’s accredited courses are approved to the highest standards.
“I am delighted with the approval which recognises the strength of high quality training and education available at South Devon College,” said Principal Stephen Criddle, “We are looking forward to working closely with the CTP (Career Transition Partnership) to combine an outstanding learning experience with better future employment opportunities for all Service leavers.”
“The correct advice is obviously of vital importance to a Service leaver who has only one opportunity for resettlement and it is important that the design and duration of training is fit for purpose,” said Mark Robinson, PS Manager with CTP, “I am pleased, on behalf of the MoD, that South Devon College will be included in the List of Preferred Suppliers (PS) and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome them to the fold and hope that the relationship between us will be long lasting, and beneficial for both them and Service leavers.”
Just some of the ‘fit for purpose’ courses provided by South Devon College include: PAT Testing and other electrical courses; ACS Boilers, Water Heaters, Gas Cookers, Heaters & Fires Assessment courses; Solar PV & Thermal Installation; Underfloor Heating; Book-Keeping; Assessors Awards; Management and Leadership courses and Teaching qualifications.
