Level 2 Creative Computing (BTEC)

This new course is intended for students who are interested in both the technical and creative side of digital production. Students will learn how to use a variety of software packages in order to create exciting computerised visuals. This would include: sound software; app making soft-wares; game design soft-wares and web design soft-wares. In addition to this students will learn to produce content by using creative means such as cameras, editing, Image manipulation, drawing, model making and sound.
Students will be able to progress to any of our level three courses on successful completion, and in particular the Level Three Interactive Media course. Eventual Careers could include : Games Designer; Web Developer/Designer, Video editing, App. Designer for phones and tablets.
To gain a place on the course students will need two GCSE’s or equivalent at grade “D” or above. Mature applicants are welcome.
Equivalent to four GCSE’s

- Phone app. Creation
- Games Design
- Web Design
- Photo Imaging and Design
Accounts & Finance
Have you thought about a career in Accounts or Finance – if so there is a new Full-time course starting in September 2012 which could be for you. You will study Association of Accounting Technicians at Foundation and Intermediate level combined with Business and Administration qualifications and IT skills. The whole package will make you very employable at the end of the year too local businesses looking for Apprentices. Alternatively you could continue to Advanced level study.
