Jenny Harriman, the Head of ACL, has created a sculpture from unwanted materials to enhance the coastline at Teignmouth this summer as part of the TRAIL. It is a beach hut based on her summer beach hut at Shoalstone Pool. It is now installed near the lighthouse at Teignmouth.
Helped by Paul Richards who created the waste whilst building her new kitchen, she has made a replica beach hut with the door panel showing the view at Shoalstone pool during the recent heat wave. Jenny said “the hut frame is made from discarded rafters, the sides, roof and stripes from builder’s dumpy bags and the panel uses duck tape to hold the pictures in place.” Jenny won the SW Water TRAIL prize last year and will be judging the community entries this year with Janec van Veen.
