South Devon College is delighted to be hosting a Europe Direct Relay!

The College has received a grant from the European Commission to provide a hub (or ‘host’ centre) for the dissemination of information on the European Commission and other related matters.

The European Commission promotes ‘relay centres’ or strategic ‘host’ centres across the country; the South West network includes relays in Gloucester, Plymouth, and Cornwall as well as the centre at the College.

What will the relay deliver?

• A dedicated area which offers information about the Commission, its directives, useful related websites, other electronic and hard copy publications and information.This will be of specific interest to local businesses and enterprises, who would value being able to access European directives and other business related European advice, guidance and directives, including updates on, for example, health & safety and legal requirements.

• Promoting a better understanding of Europe and its structures and services to the students of South Devon College, especially supporting those learners whose courses include an understanding of the Commission and its role.

• Promoting through this grant the value of a competence in an additional modern foreign language [MFL] and the increased job and other opportunities available as a result of a competency in speaking more than one foreign language.

Friday Term time 8.30am - 4.30pm

Monday - Friday During student holidays 9.00am - 4.00pm
