Horizons is a licensed restaurant and provides an excellent venue for customers to enjoy a meal or light snack prepared and served by students on our Hospitality & Catering programmes. Within this training setting, students are developing their skills and knowledge under the expert guidance of college staff utilising current industry technology for which we gratefully acknowledge the support of the Savoy Educational Trust.

Our café menu has been re-designed providing an exciting range of lunchtime dishes and new for this term. We will of course continue to serve our very popular hot buffet on a Friday for £3.75 (main course only)

This is a really exciting initiative for young aspiring chefs (13-15 year olds) who can’t wait to “get cooking” but who are not ready to join our full time courses yet.

 

A nine week course is held each term during the 2010/11 academic year. The course start date for stage 1 in the spring term  will be Thursday 31st March completing on 16th June, this will be after school commencing at 5.30 p.m. until 8.00 p.m. Junior chefs will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes under the expert guidance of an experienced Chef Lecturer who will demonstrate and then assist with the development of practical skills. Uniform is provided and all food, course fee is £65.

 

The College gratefully acknowledges the support of the Savoy Educational Trust who have provided grant funding to continue the work of the Academy in 2010-2011.
