UNIFORMED PUBLIC SERVICE students at South Devon College are keen to ‘make a difference to the community and beyond’ by actively looking for community-based volunteering projects to undertake.

The students identified the best way to find worthy causes to help the community was to ask.  Head of Public Services at the College, Ken Fraser, is keen to invite - on behalf of his students

UNIFORMED PUBLIC SERVICE students at South Devon College honoured National Armed Forces Day with a flag raising ceremony at the College’s Vantage Point campus in Paignton.

The Public Service department at South Devon College has a particular affinity to the Armed Forces, as they have a current tutor, Colin Kirkman, currently serving in Afghanistan with the Royal Marine Commandos.

Conservation site takes shape

A CONSERVATION SITE, rich in wildlife, is beginning to take shape at South Devon College’s Vantage Point campus in Paignton.

Back in November, the College acquired a successful National Lottery bid of £10,000 to fund the development of an educational, interactive conservation site and wildlife area, complete with large pond, on a two acre site at the top of the campus.

“ECO-PUNK” FASHION will be on catwalk display at South Devon College next week for a charity fashion show in aid of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
